Jennie or Jane Restorick (nee' Gratten)
Jennie died at Winters Farm Rocombe Uplyme on 15th October 1935. I am trying to trace what happened to her husband Frank Restorick as she is buried in Marshwood churchyard she is listed as Jennie Gratten and buried with her father William Gratten. There is no mention of her husband who died 4 years later and is not included in her will. Previously they lived in Crowcroft Farm 1920 and Marshwood and Nags Head Fishpond Bottom 1919. Frank was a cattle dealer and butcher probably in Lyme Regis. Maureen

red mail ADAMS - Uplyme, Devon/Lyme Regis,Dorset
I have a copy of the marriage record for my ancestors John Aylmer TENCATE (mispelled Tancate)and Mary ADAMS who were married at the parish church at Uplyme, Devon. The marriage took place 7 Nov 1815. The witnesses were Joseph ADAMS and Jonathan MARSHALL. Mary Adams was born at Uplyme abt 1783, according to the 1851 Lyme Regis, Dorset Census. Does anyone know the name of Mary's parents and siblings?

On several occasions on the census & on birth certificates of the JEFFORD family I find the address is listed as "The BUILDINGS UPLYME or "THE NEW BUILDINGS" UPLYME. Can any-one tell me about this address & where it was/is located in Uplyme. I have the feeling it may have been either re-named or demolished.
red mail HUXFORD
My GGG Grandfather John b. about 1770 married Amy Strawbridge in 1798 in Uplyme. Present there in 1841 census, died 1849. In spite of many Huxfords (occasionally as Hucksford)in Uplyme (Johns, Williams, Josephs) I cannot trace my GGG Grandfather Jophn's birth parents. Any suggestions?
