red mail Henry Brown born 1834
I am hoping to find some information on my great-great-grandfather Henry Brown, his parents (father was John) and siblings. He was born in Tamworth in about 1834 and married Mary Elliott in St. Oswalds church, Manchester on 2 March 1856. I can find no record of him before his marriage (place & date of birth obtained from census of 1861). I would love to hear from anyone, maybe in Staffordshire, who might have Henry in their family tree. Thank you.

red mail Cherry family, Tamworth
Hi I am looking for information of descendants of Alfred E Cherry born in 1913 in the Tamworth area - his mother's maiden name was Masna. I am trying to find out if her first name was Obdulia, born c1874 in Gibralter - if so she is my husband's great grandmother who was previously married to John Thomas Evans. I think Alfred had a sister called Frances born in 1915. Does anyone know what happened to Obdulia - we cannot find details of her death anywhere. Any information regarding Alfred and Frances much appreciated - they perhaps don't know they have a family of half-cousins trying to find them! Obdulia had 5 children with her 1st husband. thanks

red mail Lownds family of Tamworth
Looking for any info regarding the Lownds family from Tamworth in Staffordshire. a Thomas Lownds from Derby married Emma Hilton in 1856 in the parish church there and had four or five children. In the 1861 census they are described as living in the town and were both tape weavers. Ten years later it seems Emma is living on her own with the children and there is no sign of her husband. After that the whole family appears to vanish except for William their son who pops up in Hucknall and is registered as a coal miner and lodger in the town there. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
