red mail Davey - St Agnes
I would be very grateful for any information on the Davey Family. My maternal great grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Davey was born and raised in/around St Agnes (1867-1877). Her father is listed on her marriage certificate as a farmer. The family (2 daughters(?) & 3 sons all left at different times during the 1880/1890s (I believe at least 2 members did return to live in the village later). The boys left to make their fortunes mining gold, first in South Africa and later Klondike. The girls went in to service, I believe. My great, Aunt Hilda Plowman, did return to live briefly in St Agnes during the 1980s. Sadly, I did not take the opportunity to write down our family's history. Any help would be much appreciated.
