red mail The Guards
My mother recollects family/social visits to The Guards in the 1930's. Can anyone advise what she might have been referring to?

red mail George & Nellie Everett
Any information on George or Nellie Everett?! I began browsing Census records to confirm information I already knew, it was noticed that on the 1911 Census my great-grandfather George Everett (b. Brightlingsea, 1877) was living with his wife Beatrice Everett (nee. Deer, b.1887) in Prittlewell, Southend-On-Sea. Their two children Leslie (c.1909) and Winifred (b.1910), my great uncle and aunt, are also living with them, as well as his two children George (b. Southend, 1899) and Nellie (b. Southend, 1904), who none of the family knew existed until now. I ordered Nellie's birth certificate, which shows her mother as Agnes Everett (nee. Greenacre). I found a marriage record for George Everett and Agnes Greenacre towards the end of 1898. I also found a death record for Agnes Everett, and ordered the death certificate to find out her date of death (January 1906). George remarried in 1909 to Beatrice, and the rest, as they say, is history! I am stumped as to why I can find no further information about George (b.1899) or Nellie, after the 1911 Census. No death record, no marriage record, nothing. Any further information would be greatly appreciated! :) Alice

red mail Alfred Butwell
Alfred was born in Hertfordshire in 1907 to Annie Butwell. Annie later married George Taylor and had 5 children. We could find no trace of Alfred but now know he married and lived in Southend on sea. He had 3 children - Sandra, Judith and Rosa. These are my cousins and I would love to trace them. I believe Sandra's surname is now Skingley and Judith's is Rush. Can anyone help?
I'm trying to find the family of Miriam HICKS who used to work for the SOUTHEND BOROUGH ARCHITECT'S DEPT. on Alexandra Road, and later at the Civic Center. Miriam was still working there, when I left the 1964.I believe she lived on North Road in Southend at this time. I often have wondered about Miriam, she was such a colorful character, in her personality and her work. I would like to hear from anyone that knew or was related to her.
