Thomas Smith born Wakefield 1809 married Hannah Coates in Bradford 1831. Their first child James born Bradford, they took the blacksmithy at Slack where their next boy Parker Smith was born c1834. Listed in Pigot's 1834 directory, by 1841 back in Bradford, Slack smithy in hands of Robert Smith. Any relation? Any stories about smithy in Slack? People still know which building it was in, tho now a private house...Any comments welcome!
