red mail Carter family
James Carter was an English convict from Somerset who came to Australia in 1829. He gave his place of birth as Shepton Mallett and records suggest the year was about 1804. He died in NSW Australia in 1858. It is likely his father was named George and his mother possibly a Miss Pentecost. I have much information on this family in Australia but would like to go back further in England. Any help appreciated.
