HUTCHINSON, Joseph and Mary An
I am looking to confirm the parents of both Joseph Hutchinson (circa 1871-1947) and Mary Ann Hutchinson (circa 1874-1953) Joseph and Mary Ann (nee Hutchinson) were married on the 6th February 1897 at Beighton, Derbyshire. Joseph was 25 and recorded as a Widower (any information on his previous wife would also be appreciated) from Woodhouse and his father noted as John Hutchinson. Mary Ann was 23 a spinster, from Beighton and her father noted as William. Both fathers were colliers. I have come across differing opinons as to who both sets of parents are and wish to clear this up. Some information notes Joseph's parents as George Hutchinson and Eliza Wilson. Both Joseph and Mary Ann died in Woodhouse, Sheffield, Yorkshire.

I am trying to find details of Ivy Ovenden who lived at 111 Plumpers Road Tinsley Sheffield . She may not have been born in Yorkshire but in 1917/1918 she was living here. Her Boyfriend? was Hubert Wade and died in WWI in 1917. She appeared to have married a Charles Standish Garbutt inon 29/05/1925 in Kimberworth which I believe part of Rotherham. James Marsh (Builder)
I am researching the history of my house in Dronfield. The house was built by James Marsh and Son (Builders) Ltd. James was born in 1888 in Wadshelf, Derbyshire. In 1911 he was living on Toftwood Road, Crookes with his wife Sarah. In 1939 they were living at 147 Norton Lane. James Marsh built the houses 2 - 24 Marsh Avenue in Dronfield in the late 1930's and also some houses on Snape Hill. He also built The Pines nearby and lived in this house from 1940 - 1945. I would love to contact any descendants or people who knew James. Also land adjacent to Marsh Avenue was owned by William Prestwich who originated from the Manchester area but lived in Dronfield until his death in about 1954. I would love to make contact with descendants or opeople who may remember him. Many thanks, Ken

red mail Post, John Herbert b.1896 in Sheffield
I'm searching for relatives of my great-grandfather, John Herbert Post b.1896 in Sheffield. He married Elsie Cox (b.1894) in Amersham in 1919 and his son John H. Post (my grandfather) was born in Sheffield in 1922. If my details are correct there were 2 other children who survived infancy, Amy (b. 1897, m.1922 to Joseph Glew, children John F. (b.1925) and Edward (b.1927)) and Cyril (b.1901, m.1927 to Grace Smith, children Barbara (b.1934) and David C.W. (b.1939)) John Herbert Senior fought in WWI; his son John H. fought in WWII and came to Canada where he met and married my grandmother. Returned to Sheffield in 1948 (?) alone, and family here in Canada have not heard from him since.
