red mail Edels in Salford
Hi, I'm looking for a family who moved to Salford from Strangeways, Manchester in 1925. The parents (Samuel and Mary) came from Kovno, Lithuania in 1905 with at least 4 children (Israel, Reuben, John and Annie)and had Gene in 1907 although I can't find her birth in the British BMD records. Annie married John/Josiah Julius in 1922. Does anyone know anything about this family?
red mail Huck, Wilson, Kirby lonsdale
Can anyone tell me if Richard Huck (1834 - 1892) got married to Elizabeth Wilson (1836 - 1924) at St. Mary's church, Kirby Lonsdale in 1860? I am hoping that I can find out who their parents were and any other info I could gleen from their marriage cert. Any help in this dirrection would be deeply appriciated as I don't live near Kirby Lonsdale.
red mail Scott, Salford
Charles SCOTT and his wife Ethel, nee Walker, lived at 211 Littleton Rd, Pendleton, in 1915 when their son was born. Their children were Charles, Dolly and Leonard. I can't find any details of their marriage. Ethel remarried after Charles' death, to a Jack Croft(s). Any information welcome.
red mail Sharples, Tiller Girls
Four of my great Aunts were Tiller Girls, May b.1881, Lena b.1888, Maudie b.1891 and Elsie b.1896. There may also have been a Margaret c. 1902. I know what happened to May, Lena and Elsie but I haven't been able to find out what happened to Maudie, who can be found in vintage postcards from around 1907. My mother believes that she died young but I can find no records of her death. Does this resonate with anyone? Margaret may also have died young.
red mail Margaret Laura Williams nee Ellis
Do you have any information, however slight, regarding Margaret Laura Williams, nee Ellis, who lived at 64 Barrett Street, Stretford, Manchester with her sister Sarah Pratt Jones in 1943? She came from Wales and I believe she later moved to Salford. Her husband was called William Owen Williams - he was a Japanese POW for some years. I realise that this is a very long shot indeed, but any information would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you for reading this message. David.
