I can't seem to find any info on my Gt Grandfather John James Smith (b.1839) before 1871 which is the year he married Mary Ann Cox. He was a Tailor in the High Street, Tunbridge Wells. His father was James Smith - also a Tailor but again I can find no info. They don't seem to turn up in any Census.If anyone can help I would be most grateful.

Does anyone have any information on my grandfather,Leslie Mercer (known as Bob), who was born and lived in Tunbridge Wells until he was killed in the WW2? His parents were Harry George Mercer and Susannah Elizabeth Harmer (both born in 1880). He was married to Dorothy May Weatherley, they had one son, Jack, and they lived in Camden Road.
