Was anyone there in 1950? My 9 month old brother and I, aged 3, were in the home for a few weeks whilst my mother was in St Lukes Hospital in Guildford. When did the home close?

I have found the following Moores' in the 1871 census but they have completely disappeared (except for Richard b 1870 and found in the Newhaven Union House 1881) from further census; including 1881-91and 1901. Richard b 1847 and wife Sarah (Champion), son George b 1867, dtr Mary Ann b 1869 and Frederick b 1872. (all born Rottingdean) Can anyone offer any explanations?
