William Hastings Woollen Manufacturer
Looking for the birth of William Hastings Mill Owner who married an Alice Hilton in Deane in 1812 so may have been born 1792 as was she, but he employed over 900 people and was important enough to report to Parliament on the decline of the Woollen industry due to the loss of American trade so he may have been much older or may have inherited the business which was known as Hastings,Fisher & Co. looking for parentage or age at death 1820 burial records in Presbyterian Chapel Blackwater St.Rochdale. Any help even the name of the Mill might give a clue.

Can anyone solve this please, Looking for info on Alice Bottomley 1886-1963 the 1901 census says she was the adopted daughter of James and Lavinia (Berry) Bottomley. She married Albert Bradshaw circa 1907 but I can not find her marriage reference. Gave birth to 11 children between 1909 and 1922. Who was she ? What was her birth name ? Burrows family
I am looking for any information about the Burrows family who I think came from the Rochdale area. My grandmother was Annie Burrows born 1881 married James Vanston 1914 in Douglas I.O.M. and moved to Ireland, Then in 1926 they moved to Ipswich in Suffolk I believe for Annie's health and Annie died in 1935. I think she had 4 sisters, Emily, Ethel, Ellen & Mary who married husbands with the following names Liptrot, Mather and Bryant, she also had 3 brothers Sidney, Alfred & Harry. I would be grateful of any information no matter how small.
