Seeking info. on John Holcombe and his son James.John was born in Wicklow, Ireland c1818.His occupation was coast guard, On the night of the 1861 census he was aboard HMS Kite in Egypt Bay, Kent.I've no idea who or where his wife was. James was born in Wicklow, Ireland c1845. He married in Northfleet in 1868. At this time James was a mariner and his father John a coast guard pensioner. I have no idea when the family left Ireland. Any info.much appreciated.

Walter Carter
I'm trying to find the descendants of Walter Carter, born 31.7.1836 Spain(father Matthew was British Consul) and Stanhope Watson born 25.5.1842, Southwark. On the 1871 census they are living with their two sons Walter Stanhope born Sept Q, 1867 Camberwell District and Matthew born Jun Q, 1869 North Aylesford District, Kent, at Victoria Road, Northfleet, Kent. As both parents died in 1873, would love to know what happened to the children. Any info appreciated.

Hi i am looking for my great great grandparents James & Ann Shanley nee Madigan . They had a daughter Anne or Annie Maria Shanley born on the 17th June 1863 at Plough Yard Northfleet . On the birth certificate James was listed as being a Pensioner , 88th Regiment of Foot Connaught Rangers , Bricklayer labourer . I am wondering if anyone can help me with some informitionon on them . Has anyone any details on Rebecca Chambers who married Joseph Morgan at St. Dunstans in the East, London on the 13/10/1834. Rebecca was born in Northfleet c 1817. Cannot find out any details on her other than the above.

John Robert LOCK was born in Northfleet in November 1876 the son of William Lock and Mary Ann nee Brown. He married Alice Maud DAVIS on 25 April, 1901 at St Botolphs Church, Northfleet. The marriage entry describes John as a Crane Driver. Alice's father, James William Davis is also described as a Crane Driver. John and Alice lived at 38 Samaratan Grove, Northfleet. John and Alice had three children all born at Gravesend - Alice b 1903, John b 1905 and Edie (Edith) b 1908. In 1911 this family was living at 73 Raphael Road, Gravesend. I am interested in making contact with descendants of Alice, John and Edie (Edith).

My g-father, Charles Alfred Lock b 23 September 1888 at 40 Railway Street, Northfleet, was youngest child of William Lock and Mary Ann nee Brown.His siblings were Mary Ann b 1869; William George b 1871; Frances b 1874(immigrated to Australia);John Robert b 1876; Edwatd James b 1880; Charlotte Rosetta and twin Thomas Percy b 1883; Emma Elizabeth b 1886. Charles Alfred married Jeannie Pomphrey and immigrated to Australia in 1923. All members of this Lock Family appear in the St Botolph's church records (Parish of Northfleet).
