red mail Bell
I am looking to trace descendants of my g-g grandfather, Richard Bell, who ran the family's corn merchant's business at 17 Bigg Market between from 1855 to 1888. He lived at Threaplands, Elmfield Rd, Gosforth (now Eolian Nursing Home) with his wife Jane (nee Stephenson) and children. On his death, his eldest son, William (my g-grandfather) took over, but the business failed and William then disappeared, leaving his wife and family. His sister Rebecca married Thomas Colpitts of Gosforth, his brother Andrew James married Florence Winter of Crook. Any info/photos anyone? Nigel

red mail KINEY family
I am researching my father's (Michael Bryan Kiney :1926-2007) family history, especially his wartime service in Burma and that of his siblings:Joseph (1914-40, killed in action at Ficheux, Tyneside Black Watch);Mary (b.1917); Christopher (1919-1982);Robert (1921-23); John (b.1923) and Terence (1928-1977). Also any information to add to his family tree, and the period after his mother (Mary Kiney, nee Connor) died from consumption in 1929 and how the children were saved from deportation to Australia by the Sisters of Mercy, and their subsequent time in Catholic orphanages, as their father could not keep them. Thank you so much.

red mail Goodbarn Family
Searching for Goodbarn Family around 1800 when John Goodbarn married Jane Hall of Cowgate Mill and opened a Breeches and Glove maker shop in High Bridge, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Hi John, My tree is on Ancestry and a lot of facts on other trees are actually taken from my tree but, I'm not certain about Thomas Goodbarn 1750 to 1840 being the right one as he seems to have lived and died in Lincolnshire with no record of him in Scarborough. His son John who I am certain is correct was born in Scarborough in 1783 opening his shop in Newcastle around 1805.So, I am searching for his parents who may have come from Lincolnshire via Scarborough, and Jane's parents Matthew and ? who were from Newcastle Upon Tyne. Also for Carol ? who may remember playing with a little boy who visited his auntie M in Henry St. All Saints in the 1950s. Carol moved to Fenham.

red mail HUDSON
My granddad was David Carverhill Hope Hudson and was born 1912. I know his mothers maiden name was Hope. I have found a family with the surname Hudson who married a Hope, but the website lists her only two sons as James Hope and William. As the woman's brother was called David Carverhill, you can see the coincidence, or are they related? Thanks in anticipation of any replies.

Her father was born in Newport, Monmouthshire, Wales, in 1869 and died in 1941 in New York ~ but his will was filed in N on T on 31st May 1951, I am wondering if Alice came to England because of this.
