red mail Solomon Strolger
Solomon had daughters Elizabeth (1728 - 1814) she married John Temperley and left her estate to Nicholas Temperley who was a sugar merchant and became a magistrate. Monica Strolger married Robert Bell in 1765 perhaps at St John's Church. There were three unmarried daughters Mary (1740) Isabella (1735-c1800) and Julia (died c 1802). I think all five daughters were christened at St. John's Church (at the corner of westgate and Grainger St.) Monica was my gggg grandmother and I'd love to find out anything about the family. Please can you help?

red mail Catherine Ford 1869 - 1911
I am trying to find the father of the above person (his name is William FORD), all references I can find for him suggest that he is born in Ireland. I can only find Catherine in the 1871 census as an Inmate in the Union Workhouse Westoe in Durham suggesting she was born in South Shields with who I believe to be her 21-year-old unmarried aunty (a servant in the workhouse) and a 4-year-old George (who I believe to be Mary's son) but then in 1891 Census Catherine is married to a Tom Birkett (my 2x Gt Grandfather) this suggested that she is born in Newcastle upon Tyne

red mail Information on Martha Rooney/Roney
Wondering if anybody could help me trace my 4x Great Grandmother, Martha Rooney/Roney. Originally born in Ireland, 1843 (info found via census), she lived in Newcastle in 1871 & 1881 working as a fish curer. Her son, John William Rooney was born in Newcastle in 1872 and by 1891 he was lodging in North Shields with an Irish family named McGee. On the birth certificate it states that John William's parents are Martha Roney and William Graham. in 1889, Martha Roney's death was registered in North Shields by Mary Ann McGee, who lived in the same street as Martha at the time she had died. It says that Martha lived at 23 Charlotte Street and that she was the widower of Matthew Rooney. I have been unable to trace a birth or a marriage for Martha Rooney/Roney and would appreciate any help anybody could give me. Thanks, Olivia
