War hero William Lloyd
I am trying to find out more about William Lloyd from Toxteth Park, Liverpool, who was born in 1917. William served with the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders (connected to the Liverpool Scottish Regiment) in WWII and was killed in October 1944, liberating the town of Schijndel in the Netherlands. About 18 of the Camerons were killed and a Dutch historian is writing a book commemorating them. Their graves in the local cemetery have family details about them, but not William's. We know that William was the son of James and Amy and that he had an elder brother James and a younger one, George. William married a Sarah Peake in Gorton, Manchester, in January 1944, before returning to the battlefront. Sarah remarried in 1946 and moved away, so when the Commonwealth War Graves Commission tried to find her after the war they could not and had no contact details for William's family in Toxteth. Can anyone help?

Missing Great Grand Parent's Family.
Can any body help me with this 'Brick Wall'? My Gt. Grand Parents; Ann (POOL) & Henry WOOD who had, according to the 1911 census, been married for 22yrs, which equates to 1889, almost certainly in Liverpool. However I can find no record of their marriage anywhere! I can trace Ann's family back from them, but there are 3 or 4 possibilities for Henry, who was a French Polisher by trade, but the only connections to 'my' Henry are tenuous, to say the least. If I could find their marriage details, hopefully it will give Henry's father's details. Any help/ideas would be most welcome.
