Entries around
red mail McCulloch, Bridge Inn
William McCulloch and Ann Simpson, married in Golspie in 1789, daughter Mary was born in Urray, Ross, around 1790. They moved to Linlithgow Bridge before 1797 when son Robert was born. They kept an Inn which I think was the Bridge Inn, Linlithgow Bridge (now the Bridge Inn, Linlithgow) and two other children (Margaret and Euphemia) were born there. Mary McCulloch in turn married William Fisher in 1812 (in Edinburgh), and she later became proprietor of the inn before it passed to her daughter Ann and son-in-law Robert Stewart. I'd be grateful for any connections or information regarding this family, or their inn!
red mail Boyd and Whyte families
Marion Boyd b 1796 - I think she was dau of George Boyd and Margaret Young but need to confirm. She married James Whyte (the Whytes were from across bridge in Linlithgow) and their daughter Margaret Whyte married William Fisher. I have some info on them and their descendents. Marion's grand-daughter Marion Fisher moved to Glasgow. William Fisher was a calico printer, moving to Paisley and Milngavie and eventually to Ramsbottom in Lancashire! Any info very welcome.
