red mail McCulloch in Linlithgow
Update to earlier entry - awful typo - William and Robert McCulloch were born 1755. (How did I manage to type 18 and not notice?) I now have some OPR info on them if anybody is interested.
red mail Gillies, Jarden or Jardine, Thomson in Linlithgow
In searching for family I've come across a Gillies line, through the 17th and 18th centuries. Among the names I have are William, John, Janet, Bessy, Alexander, Margaret - many names being repeated. Some time in the 1660s William Gillies married Margaret Jardine, and they had many children. In 1707 John Gillies married Margaret Thomson, again producing many children, and in 1739 Eupham Gillies married Robert McCulloch - all this in Linlithgow. Any other Gillies, Thomson, Jarden connections out there?

red mail Whyte or White
James Whyte of Linlithgow married Marion Boyd of Linlithgow Bridge in 1822. James seems to have had a brother Andrew, both sons of John Whyte (b. 1773) and Mary Scot (b. 1775, if I have the right one). John was son of Alexander White and Janet Cock - her family were from Bo'ness. Any info? I have a bit more, and hope to be in Linlithgow next week to see things...
