Lambeth, Surrey
Seeking information on Henry Seymour HURLEY, born 1892, resided Sidney Rd, Lambeth; married to Hilda May Carnt in 1916 at St Pancras, possibly two daughters - Pamela 1925 & Wendy S 1927. AKA 'Seymour Hurley', he was a famous artist, cartoonist and postcard illustrator whose artwork appeared in The Bystander, Tatler, Sketch. Served in WWI, Army No.17410. No details of him or family on 1939 Register, nor after that. No trace on any Emigration or Passenger lists nor are there any death or gravestone details. Can anyone help please?
red mail Jane Elizabeth SETTER
The above born 1/3/1849 married Alfred Mackmin in 1870. I have traced them to Canada although I cant find their crossing. The mystery is Janes birth. On various documents she is shown as born at sea and in one other it shows her father as Italian. I have looked at the appropriate register but can find nothing. They lived in Lambeth up till they appeared in Canadian records. Any ideas on where else I can look. Ive tried Ancestry, Findmypast and Family Search.

red mail Charles Clarke Cain/Sarah Annie Hobbs
I'm looking for information regarding my 2x great grandfather CHARLES CLARKE CAIN who although married SARAH ANNIE HOBBS in HOUGHAM KENT in 1883 was by 1884 living in LAMBETH according to his daughter ROSE CLARKE birth details. He seems very mysterious using various names including HENRY CLARKE and CHARLES CAIN as aliases. It is believed he died in LAMBETH or the surrounding area sometime around 1895 due to an accident involving a horse drawn street can but I cannot find him or his wife in the 1891 census nor any details of death although she remarried in 1895 after returning to HOUGHAM. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Nash/Peck/Barlow
I am hoping to find some information on the Nash family who lived at William St., Lambeth in the early 1800s. The parents' names were Thomas and Jane Nash, with children Eliza b. 1820, Emily Jane b. 1820 (?) and Clara b. 1823. There was also a possible brother, James b. 1815. James, a painter and decorator later lived with his wife, Mary A. at William St. One of their children, Maria married Henry Barlow in 1875. I have information about Clara, who married Thomas Peck from Essex and moved to Ireland. I would be delighted to receive any information on the rest of the family.
red mail Rebecca Milsom
I am looking for Rebecca Milsom who, in 1853, married William Breame Howard. They had a son George, then a daughter Emma Rebecca Maria, then she had twins, Christopher and Henry. She died after childbirth and Christopher died as well. She died in 1858 at 74 Leather Lane, Holborn, and her age was said to be 28, which makes her born about 1830. At the time of her marriage, her father was stated as John Milsom (deceased). The only family I can find with John Milsom as the head are in Bermondsey and he is a bricklayer. With this family, there is a Rebecca born in 1825 and baptised in 1837. I don't know if this is my Rebecca, so any information would be helpful. Thanks. Anita

Im researching the history of the Owens family originally from Lambeth. In particular descendants of Thomas Owens and Mary Jennings who were most likely married in the late 1850s, and whose children included Annie Owens (born 1859), Emma Owens (b.1860, married William Beesley), Thomas Owens (b.1862), Charles Owens (b.1863), John Amos Owens (b. 1865, married Elizabeth Mary Brown), Mary Owens (b.1868, married Joseph Henry Blackman), Rose Owens (b.1870). Also descendants of Charles Owens and Lydia Tamplin (married 1863) and Sarah Owens and John Dale (married 1864). If anyone else is researching the same Id be very glad to get in touch.
