Three generations of Veterinarians lived and practised in the Keyingham area. A grandson Joseph went to Canada, abt. 1900 and practised in the Goderich area for years. WE are trying to determine if Joseph's father married a CLARK related to the Clarks of Keyingham's CLARK'S FANCY WAREHOUSE.

Looking for information or publications of emigrants leaving Hull for Canada and/or the US in 1829/30. Apparently 1600 people went to Canada from there in 1830 because of a depression in Agriculture. Any information welcomed.

Joseph Clark and Hannah Nicholson married in Keyingham in 1804, they had nine children before emigrating to Canada, but the daughters stayed in Keyingham or area, they were Sarah who married Edward Harrison in 1831, Elizabeth b. 1807 and Mary 1814. We know they are related in some way to Henry Clark who had a shop/newsagent CLARKS FRANCY WAREHOUSE on the Main Street IN KEYINGHAM in the 1870's and is listed on the 1881 census. Joseph's grandaughter Mary Harrison married George Snowden and lived in Hull.
