Joseph Potts, heworth durham
Joseph was born in 1846 and married a Margaret Hutchinson. He was a dentist, painless Potts and lived at 58 tatham street, Bishop wearmouth, sunderland, where he practised. He died on the 24/6/1887 by poison, either administered by his wife or himself.

I am interested in any information regarding the Cooper and Heron families of Heworth in Durham, in the period 1911 to the present day. I am researching for a friend now living in America, who is a direct descendant of Mary Ellen Heron born in 1899 on the 15th of January, in the Gateshead Union Workhouse. Her father was William and her mother Sophia. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edward and Isabella had 4 children all baptised at St Mary's Church. Elizabeth 1822, Robert 1825, William 1828 and Mary Isabella 1833. Edward died and possibly buried in Heworth October 1852 In 1851 living in High Lane. Wanting information re address in 1841 census or any other relevant information about them.

My Smith family moved around Heworth for many years. Robson Smith was a miner and he and his wife Jane Bridgewood feature on the 1881 census in Heworth. they had 8 children and many stayed in the area, most of the lads were also miners. I am alwaysinterested in Smiths in Heworth and Felling.
