This was a large house in the area of Clee with Weelsby as it was known then. The owners , given the size of the house, were prosperous. In Sheepscote Road there were cottages or some form of dwelling for GNR workers and their families. This may have been cottages or a dormitory . My relative was a "horse shunter" for the GNR and he was called Thompson Pottage Dobbs. I would be pleased to hear from anyone who has further information about this site.

I am trying to trace my relatives who lived in Gilby Road, Grimsby if I have got that right. My dads sisters were Margaret who's married name was Fanthorpe and Marion who's married name is Parker. Marion had 4 children called Susan,Kevin, Elaine and Janet and I remember staying with them for a short holiday in about 1963. My dads name is Stanley Bulmer and lived in Hartlepool all his life. If anyone has any information I would love to hear.

I am researching my family tree my grandfather was Alfred Coultas his wife was Lizzie (nee Ellis) I would love to find a photo of her she died when she was 40 in 1923 my Dad was 7 I cant find out where she was buried or anything I have found her sisters and also that she was a servant for Collins Butchers in the Bull Ring. I would love to find out more about the Coultas family, and Lizzie we are related to the Coultas (fishermen) originally 2 brothers from Berking in essex.

Trying to trace back on the TAYLOR/ODDIE family who lived in Grimsby mid 1800's. Taylor daughters married into BALCH, ELLIS, SMITH, CARLISLE and BURNS families, son into KIME family and grandson into OGLE family. Mary Jane Oddie's mothers maiden name was, I think, DUTHAIT SLEIGHT.
