Is anybody researching the JONES family? My husbands Grandfather was SAMUEL JONES who with his wife HENRIETTA kept the Bell Inn, Barton St. in the 1890s.
red mail EVANS
My father's family, EVANS, came from Frampton-on-Severn. There was 7 Mariners amongst them. My Gt.Grandfather was CAPT.JASPER EVANS, who in later years lived off Bristol Rd.Gloucester with his wife MARY ANN (nee Cox) and several children. Is there anybody else researching EVANS from either Frampton or Gloucester?
red mail CANNING
Interested in Anne Hewlett. In my family tree I have a Margaret Hewlett who married my Gt.Uncle THOMAS EVANS, sCHOOLmASTER in 1787 Wheatenhurst, Frampton. Margaret was baptised in 1760 and was the daughter of JOHN & Betty HEWLETT. May be Anne's father DANIEL was a brother to John, making Anne and Margaret Cousins.
John HUNT of Spa, ship-builder
Can anyone identify John Hunt of Spa near Gloucester, ship-builder, who married Eliza Green at Hampton Bishop, Herefordshire, on 17 October 1833. The couple lived in the City of Hereford from at least December 1833 until some time after April 1835 - John Hunt being the publican of the Bell Inn, Pipe Lane, Hereford during those months. They couple definitely left Hereford before late 1836 - more probably in 1835. Their Marriage Licence Bond recorded their ages as "of full age". Any help in identifying John Hunt would be greatly appreciated.

red mail William Gardner born abt 1840 in Gloucester
Looking for any info on William Gardner, he was a steam engine driver with GWR. He married Ellen Shewell born 1843 in Gloucester. They had a daughter Ellen Louise born abt 1871, she married Albert James Allen in 1891. Ellen died in childbirth 7 Dec 1895 in Gloucester. These 2 were my Great Grandparents. Any info would be most welcome, i am told William would not wear his issued engine drivers cap, he was so proud of his engine he would only wear a Bowler when driving. Any steam engine buffs know anything? Living in hope Chris.
CANNING
Looking for further information about John Canning born in 1757 & Ann Hewlett born in 1755. Know Ann Hewlett was christened in Frampton on 24 November 1754 & was the daughter of Daniel & Elizabeth Hewlett (Family Search IGI refers: Index C02836 -3 Film: 855690) and that John & Ann have inscriptions in Frampton churchyard. Possible that marriage is John Canning to 'Nancy Howlett' at St. Mary de Lode, Precincts of Gloucester Cathedral September 1778 approx. Have family tree from this point onwards but need to locate John's birthplace & siblings etc.
