I am looking for the family of Isaac Taylor, born Corsley 1788 and married Mary ??. They had three children before 1818, when Isaac was sentenced to death for housebraking. The sentence was reduced to life transportation to Australia, where he received a full pardon in 1841. Mike

Further to my message below: Isaac (b. Corsley 1788) married Mary Viner in 1811 in Frome. Two of their children were Isaac, b 1813- married Charlotte Booth of Leeds, Yorkshire. - no children. and Joseph, b. 1817. I would be grateful for any info about these people.

I am looking for any information about the origins of my third great grandfather John King and his wife Eleanor, her family name is unknown. John King was born 1792 - 1796 in Frome, Somerset, left to go to South Africa on the Government Settler Scheme, from Portsmouth, on 7th January 1820 on the ship , the "Weymouth" with Hymans party. John King has also been described as a labourer or a weaver, or a naval pensioner. Departed with 2 children: John b. 1818, Eleanor, b. 1819, also later fathered Sarah and Jane.

I am trying to find a baptism for Robert Singer who was born c 1784. He married Sarah Provis in Frome in 1805 and they had children: Henry c 1808 and Elizabeth. There were a few Singer families in Frome but I havent been able to find his baptism.
