Flowers/Button Frome
I am searching for a Sarah Flower, born about 1836, Frome, Somerset. Father John Flower. Mother unknown. Father a horse keeper/Ostler. Had an illegitimate son in 1851 named William Henry. She married James Dainty born 1823 (Frome) in London 1852 and William took Name of Dainty. James died in 1873 and Sarah married Samuel Button (also from Frome) in 1873.. She states on the census's that she was born in Frome but I can find no evidence of this. Or of a John Flower in Frome who was a horse keeper. One census has a John flower but in Lyncombe and Widcombe and I do not think that is them (1851) Also 1841 census for same area but again do not think this is same Sarah. I cannot find a marriage to a John Flower that is likely to be Sarah's mother either. Hit a brick wall.

red mail CLARK family, Frome, Somerset
I am researching the Clark family who lived in Frome in the 1800s. In particular the descendants of John Clark and Jane Hoddinott (married 1808), and William Clark and Harriet Udle (married 1820), and specifically George Clark and Mary Ann Clark (married 1848) who lived in East Woodlands. I would be very glad to get in touch with anyone researching the same.

Isabella HOOPER, had children Richard, Ann, Sarah, John, Jane, Harriet); Mary (mar. James WEBSTER, my ancestor); Sarah (mar. George WEBSTER); Elizabeth (not married). Some of this family were buried in Nunhead cemetery (London). There is a connection between Richard GIBLETT of Frome and John GIBLETT of Shepton Mallet. William Hillier age 2 was in Frome workhouse in 1849 with his brother Robert age 7 (both illegitimate) and mother Mary Ann Hillier (age 25). Robert died in 1850 and William was back in there in 1851, having been deserted. Does anyone know what happened to him afterwards? The family probably came from Nunney.

red mail BUTTON and PERKINS of Somerset
Looking for details of my husbands great grandparents : Frances Mary Button, born 1865 and Henry Seward Perkins born 1868, they were born in Frome/Coleford areas of Somerset. They married in Frome 1889 but by 1911 they were living in Knowle, Bristol. Any information relating to ancestors or descendants of either would be most appreciated.

Elizabeth Deacon
I am searching for information about the Deacon family. I think that Elizabeth Deacon was born in 1826 in Frome and that her parents were John Deacon possibly born 1801 and Hannah ? Slater born 1795. I think Elizabeth married Stephen Bush and that their daughter Mary went on to marry William George Arthur. Any information will be most appreciated. Sylvia

red mail Payne, Thomas and Walter
Thomas Payne was born in Frome in about 1793 and Walter in about 1796, but I can find no record of their births or parentage (possibly non-conformist?): it seems likely that they were brothers, but this is not certain. Walter fought at Waterloo and became a shopkeeper in Bath. Thomas remained in the area as a clothworker/baker, but possibly working in Bristol at one time; his son Walter is my ancester. Any information as to their origins would be welcome.
