Looking for info on Patrick Sinclair, Burgess of Forres in 1683; son of William Sinclair (deceased). Also William Sinclair, Burgess in 1712. I have both Burgess Tickets. I can trace my family back to George Sinclair, a tailor in Forres, who married Janet Fraser; their son William was born in 1775, and went on to move to Aberdeen. Please help me find the link. Looking for anyone researching the McKimmie (MacKimmie) family living in and around Forres/Draine from approx. 1780 to 1900. In particular the family of John McKimmie (Tailor) and Christian Fraser who lived at 334 High Street and 7 & 10 Caroline Street, Forres. John was the son of James McKimmie and Jean (Jane)Anderson and Christian was the daughter of Donald Fraser and Mary Nicolson. Any information greatly appreciated.
