red mail Barnard
I am the grand daughter of Arthur Barnard who was a funeral director in Edmonton. He married Maud Alice Dickinson and they had a son John and a daughter Joyce (my mother). I never met my Grand father or uncle John who was tragically killed aged nine (run over). If any one has any recollections or newspaper articles about John's accident it would help me to piece together some of my history. Arthur had relatives and I have no knowledge of these either. Thank you.

red mail BUNTON, Frederick, c.1851
Looking for information on and descendants of Frederick Bunton, born c.1851 in St. Johns Wood, Middlesex, England. Married to Sarah (surname unknown). Frederick worked as a machinist at Enfield Gun Factory (according to 1881, 1891, 1901, 1911 censuses). Children were Frederick Arthur, Rosetta, Alfred Edward, Wallace Edward, James Charles, and Louis Mary, all born in Enfield, Middlesex, England. I am unable to find any record of a marriage between Frederick Bunton and Sarah. I would like to find Sarahs maiden name and Frederick Bunton parents names. I am a descendant through Frederick and Sarahs son, Frederick Arthur and have some information about that family. I am willing to share any information I have. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. James

red mail A Dane in England
I am looking for information on my 3 times great grandfather Adam Friedel, born in Konigsberg Prussia 1788. He became Danish citizen 1811 and married Danish Georgine Frisch 1812, with whom he had three children. He was an officer in a Danish Army regiment from 1812. In 1821. He left for Greece to fight in the revolutionary war, and also was together with Lord Byron in Missolonghi. After the death of Byron in 1824, he was one of the men who accompanied the corpse back to England. He worked for The Greek Committee in London under John Monins Hodges, who lived at The Hyde in Edmonton. Beside that, he issued some, at that time very popular, lithographic prints from drawings he had made in Greece. He married John Monins daughter Susanna Hodges with whom he had a daughter Sarah Friedel, who for some years worked as an organist in Trent Park Church London. She died probably around 1910. Hes wife and children in Denmark had obliviously received the false information that he had fallen in the battle of Navarino in 1827, and his Danish wife remarried in 1830. He went to Constantinople during the Crimean War and later crossed over to the Balkans and Bucharest, wheret he wrote some letters to Henry Lutton Bulwer in England in 1858. He was heard of no more, and he probably died someplace in the Balkans. An adventurous life so to speak. However, I am short of information on his whereabouts in England, and on his English wife and daughter
red mail Helen Ward, Edmonton
My grandmother, Monica Hesselwood Ward, was born in Nov 1921 and given up for adoption. Her birth certificate gives her mother's name as Helen Ward of Vicarage Gardens, Edmonton but we've been unable to find out any more information about Helen. If anyone has any information that can help us find out who Helen was and what happened to her it would mean a great deal to my grandmother. I know that there aren't many details to go on. Thanks for any help x
