A London Metro Bobby (RTH SMITH)
Hi, I'm looking for any information on Robert Thomas Henry Smith (b. 1909) who was a London Metro Police from 1930-1960's. He spent the last working days at Windsor Castle as a Bobby. He was married to Winifred E. Ferdinand (b. 1910). Ideally I would love to know some of his work related info-I do have his record of employment, but its not comprehensive....

red mail Hatchett
I placed on here and I recieved a reply to which I am now trying to find Raymond A Hatchett born 1945 in edmonton son of Louisa (nee Daniels) and Alan Hatchett. My original entry reads: I am trying to find any decedents of the late Leonard Maurice Daniels born Nov 1904 in clerkenwell. On the 1911 census it was recorded that he lived on Cornwallis Grove Edmonton with his father Sydney, mother Rebecca both born 1872 and his 7 siblings. He married Emily Cotton in 1923 and they had a daughter Joyce in 1925. there are possibly further children of the marriage as I have been told that my father also had 2 sons. Before moving to Nottingham around 1940 my dad lived in Percy House, High Cross Rd and Bruce Grove Tottenham . If you have any information please contact me. Thank you

red mail Taylor 1881 Census
Does anyone know of missing entries for the 1881 census for Edmonton on the Ancestry database? I have expected to find the following family in Edmonton or Hackney in 1881 but so far I'm unsuccessful and I'd appreciate any help: Head is William Taylor; Wife is Mary Ann b abt 1855, Clerkenwell; Son William b abt 1877, Stoke Newington; Son Frank b abt 1878, Stoke Newington; Son Arthur b abt 1880 Tottenham (+/- 6 months of the census date, so may not be present in 1881 census return). I have no date or place of birth info for father because he is deceased in 1891 census. Frank's marriage certificate records his father as 'Wholesale French Confectioner'. The extended family lived in the Edmonton area for several generations and I have no reason to suppose this group lived anywhere else in 1881. Frank married Olive Owers of Victoria Road, Edmonton in 1911 at the Independent Chapel and the family was strongly associated with the Congregationalists for many years. Thanks, Jim
red mail Barnard
I am the grand daughter of Arthur Barnard who was a funeral director in Edmonton. He married Maud Alice Dickinson and they had a son John and a daughter Joyce (my mother). I never met my Grand father or uncle John who was tragically killed aged nine (run over). If any one has any recollections or newspaper articles about John's accident it would help me to piece together some of my history. Arthur had relatives and I have no knowledge of these either. Thank you.
red mail BUNTON, Frederick, c.1851
Looking for information on and descendants of Frederick Bunton, born c.1851 in St. Johns Wood, Middlesex, England. Married to Sarah (surname unknown). Frederick worked as a machinist at Enfield Gun Factory (according to 1881, 1891, 1901, 1911 censuses). Children were Frederick Arthur, Rosetta, Alfred Edward, Wallace Edward, James Charles, and Louis Mary, all born in Enfield, Middlesex, England. I am unable to find any record of a marriage between Frederick Bunton and Sarah. I would like to find Sarahs maiden name and Frederick Bunton parents names. I am a descendant through Frederick and Sarahs son, Frederick Arthur and have some information about that family. I am willing to share any information I have. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. James
Grandparents Lionel & Annie Frampton had The Bell, in Edmonton. 1 son named Charles Leonard (k/a Len Frampton). Looking for other siblings born after 1908
Looking for information about Isaac ROCKINGHAM (1818-1895) who lived in Shrubbery Villas, Edmonton from at least 1871 until his death. He was born in Northamptonshire but moved to Essex when working on the Railways where he ended as an Inspector of Works. He is found in the 1851 to 1881 censuses under the name of George Brown although his children were all registered as Rockingham. When he died he left £12,000 which, according to some web sites, equates to around £1million today. If anyone has any idea why he used an assumed name and where his money came from I'd be very interested to hear from you.
