I was at a NZ market recently and a 'plaque' ( for want of a better word ) caught my eye . I bought it because it had a sticker on the back : HIGHLAND TARGES 5 ALBERT PLACE DUFFTOWN MORAY , SCOTLAND TEL 0340 20451 This circular 'wall plaque ' is about 8 inches in diameter and about 1 inch thick It is covered in a tartan cloth and has a gold-coloured metal thistle in the centre The border is studded with gold-coloured studs , probably drawing pins ( thumb tacks in North America ? ) My Stewart Grandmither was born in Dufftown I wonder if this business , 'HIGHLAND TARGUES' , still exists ?
