red mail Poole,Russell & Alderton
My GG Grandfather William Russell was an Ironmonger in Snargate Street in 1841 census. I have found an entry in trade directories of Poole Russell & Alderton. ironmongers, Braziers & Tin Plate Workers in Snargate St. I believe my GG Grandfather was a partner in this business but I wondered if anyone had any info that would help me to find more proof. red mail Charlotte Maria COLLINS (nee HARDING)
I am seeking information concerning the life of Charlotte COLLINS, particularly the period from the time of the 1891 census to her death in Dover on 26 March 1917. Charlotte was born at Buckland probably about March 1851, daughter of William Harding. Charlotte married John Elgar COLLINS on 31 October 1874, possibly in Ramsgate. The couple lived at Alkham at the time of the 1881 Census and at Minster at the time of the 1891 Census. It would appear the marriage broke down as Charlotte next appears in the 1901 census, a fish seller and boarder in the Driscoll household.
