I am trying to trace if the above person who married my ancestor William Grout in Debden in 1732(she died in 1734)ever had any children in that short period of time. Perhaps there are relatives in that area who might throw some light on this.

red mail Johnson Debden Newport Thaxted
Gr gr grandfather John Johnson was born at Debden circa 1799 acc to census. He married Ruth Downham from Sewards End, Saffron Walden and later farmed at Gaces Farm, Newport. Their children were 'named' at Bailey's Lane Baptist Chapel in Saffron Walden. The Johnsons were non conformists. Would be grateful for any help, especially before 1800 and also contact with any fellow descendants.

red mail Johnson Moore Newport Debden Thaxted Essex
I would like to hear from anyone researching or with knowledge of this family. I am not sure from where the family came before this and am "stuck". Any help much appreciated. John Johnson, born c1760, died c1831, was a farmer in Newport, Essex, England. His known siblings were Thomas born c1770? who married Elizabeth Bass at Debden in 1789, Elizabeth who married James Wright at Thaxted in 1803, Mary who married Samuel Bass at Thaxted in 1800 and another sister referred to in John's will of 1830 as "my late sister Bacon". I am not sure whether John b1760 married, although he may have married a Moore, unless he was using the term "in-law" very loosely in his will as he refers to Henry, James and John Moore as brothers-in-law and also to his sisters-in-law Susannah Hayden and Sarah Holloway. A Susannah Moore married a George "Haiden" at Debden in 1779 (IGI). I have not found a marriage for Sarah, although the IGI has all five of these Moore siblings as the children of Robert Moore and Ann Stanley of Debden. John b1760 left his farm to his nephew, his brother Thomas's son, who was also called John born c1799 at Debden according to census returns. Thomas also had a daughter Ann born 1800. Both of these children were baptised at Thaxted Independent (IGI). Ann married Charles Debnam, clockmaker of Newport.
