Dartmouth Devon
DARTMOUTH. One of England's fine old gateways, its name written boldly across the spacious days of our history, it goes back into the dim mists of time before our history began. It is one of the places to which... more

red mail Parkinson
I'm looking for my grandfather, Archibald Elliot Parkinson. There does not appear to be any trace of him in the 1901 Census. The know facts are: In 1909 he was in Simonstown, South Africa and at that time still single. By 1914 he was married to Florence Constance Valentine Fenn and was a Corporal in the Royal Artillery. This was also the year my father, Archibald Thomas Parkinson was born and they were at the Garrison in Sheerness. In 1918 I believe he was in Swanley, Eastchurch, Isle of Sheppey. For the period 1919 to 1924 he was in Singapore with my grandmother and father. I know they also spent some time in India, Pakistan and Ceylon. By 1941 he was a Major and also a Freemason. I have a letter in which it states that the Priory Lodge inTynemouth knew the family well. During the 1950's they were living in Dartmouth. Can anyone help and fill in some of the missing details?
red mail Fenn
Looking for information on Florence Constance Valentine Fenn. She married Archibald Elliott Parkinson at some time between 1909 & 1914. Prior to this I believe she lived at 13 Railway Cottage, BGR, Hermon, CC (??). This is an address on a postcard sent to her from South Africa in in 1909. I also have a photograph of a cottage owned by her parents with the word "Bracknell" written on the back. I don't know if this was 13 Railway Cottage and I have no idea what sort of an address "BGR, Hermon, CC" IS. Can anyone help please?

His daughter, Rachael Petherbridge, married Alfred Brabbbins on 10 February 1878 in Liverpool, Lancashire. If anyone has any information on the family of George Gilbert Petherbridge and Margaret Rebecca Haigh, would be greatly appreciated. Georges father, George, had a father Henry Petherbridge, who married Elizabeth Ching in 1751 at Fleming, Devon - If anyone has information on his 9 children, that would also be greatly appreciated.
