Looking for information on and descendants of Amelia BARNES, born at Chilton Foliat in Wiltshire c1834. I believe she married an Arthur HARRISON, born Middlesex c1836, in London in Dec 1856. In the 1861 census they were living in Angel Court, St Mary le Strand, Westminster without children. In 1871 they were living at Essex Street, Covent Garden with their children Julia (10), Henry (8) and Maude (5) and Amelia's younger sister Emma, aged 26. Arthur's occupation in 1861 is listed as a porter and given they were living in Covent Garden in 1871 I assume he was a porter at the market there at least for a while. There are indications both Amelia and Arthur died in 1876, when 2 of their 3 children would have been too young to earn their living. What happened to the children? Does anyone recognise this family?

red mail FISK, Covent Garden
Is anyone researching the FISK family of Covent Garden, circa 1860-1930? George FISK ran the 'George Fisk Fruit & Vegetetable' business at 460-461 North Row, Covent Garden Market and lived in Crown Court, Cross Court, Broad Court and Martlett Court between the 1860 and 1881 census. After that he moved to Brixton (148 Loughborough Park), but continued with the Market business until the mid 1930s. George FISK married Jane Margaret (nee WHITTON, of Lambeth). Thanks, Pete

I'm looking for the family of Richard AYLOTT who lived at 1 Legg Alley (exactly where Covent Garden Underground Station is now) He was living there around 1861 and had four children with ANN BASKERVILLE, Ann, Samuel, William and Richard. After Ann died he married CHARLOTTE BARBER in 1855 and they had two children, Robert (1856-1936)and George(1858-?) Richard died in 1861 and mother Charlotte in 1862 after which Richard, (Richard and Ann's son) and George (son of Richard and Charlotte) were sent to a Hertfordshire institution. I have some more information but would like to hear from anyone who can fill some of the gaps
red mail George Jackson Bulkley
George Jackson Bulkley and his brother Stephen were musicians in the Covent Garden band commencing mid 1760s. George married Mary Wilford actress of Covent Garden niece of John Rich and Priscilla Wilford. George's death was reported by the Haymarket Theatre 1784. No evidence has been found to date to support that claim. I would appreciate any information that might assist in resolving that matter. Who is the father of George and Stephen Bulkley and where were they born and when.
