George Bibby
George BIBBY was taken POW in Italy in 1944, and passed through Mantua in April. His home address in Nov 1945 was in Aydon Road. I have a letter written by him concerning the funeral of an officer, and would like to know more about George if he has surviving family.

My 2nd great grandfather was John Richley, born in Corbridge in 1835. Aged 6 he lived in Main Street. His father, Robert Richley, born c 1816, was a Cordwainer in 1841 at Main Street, Corbridge. Aged 16, John Richley was an apprentice currier and in the 1851 census, lodging with a Mary Dodd in Gilligate, Hexham. Any further information will be most welcome.

Surtees of Corbridge
I would like any information concerning John Surtees mason of Corbridge married Mary Brown 25 March 1790 Corbridge. She was baptised 1759 Rockliffe Cumberland. Their son William baptised 1791 Corbridge moved to Egremont Cumberland before 1817.

Is there anyone called SNOWBALL/CRAIG/WALTON living in Corbridge who may be related to me,my Mother's family name was CRAIG ,my Mother's cousin was Sophia Walton who had a daughter called Patsy who I understand may still be resident in either Corbridge or Hexham.My Father was Michael Pearson Snowball who was born in Hexham.

have just found lots of names and dates for the stokoe family of corbridge in 1851 thomas stokoe was living at corbrige mill as a miller he later became a joiner, he had sons henry, george, thomas and daughters elizabeth m, jane and ann. he was married to a mary ? who died by 1851 he later married his servant Jane thoburn. hopfully this might mean something to someone cheers alison
