WHITE, John b. ca. 1934
Hoping this man is still alive and willing to be contacted. When he was about 13/14 years old he lived with his parents in Cliftonville, Margate. I know very little about him. His father was a sea captain and John joined the navy cadets in the hope of following in his father's footsteps. I can find no record that he was given his Master's Certificate, or any other naval certificate, so it is possible that ambition came to nothing. He, as I, would be in the mid-80's now and I am anxious to find him. Can you please help? Joan

red mail Collard
I am researching the Collard family and have a Louisa who was born in Ramsate. She appears to have been unsure of her birth. She married Henry Moys of Canterbury. She called herself Louisa Collard McPolland then.

red mail Frederick Walter Faulkner
My grandfather, Frederick Walter Faulkner, born 1901 in Camden, London, served in the army in WW2 in the Royal Army Service Corps. We believe he also served in WW1. I am trying to find his army records but no luck so far. His father was Leonard James Faulkner. Wife was Gladys Lilian Hodgman and they lived in Thanet. They had children including Frederick William, Gladys Lilian. I can find the mother on the 1939 register living in Zion Place but none of the rest of the family. Perhaps Frederick Walter had been called up? I know my father Frederick William was evacuated to Staffordshire and I would love to find out more but I don't know what school he was at. Any help would be wonderful!

red mail John Litton Sparkes
Does anyone recognise the name of John Litton Sparkes whose birth was registered in the Thanet area in the June 1/4 of 1838. (Quite possibly a fishing family originally from Brixham in Devon.) Probably a grandson of Elizabeth (Litton) & Thomas Sparkes married in Brixham 1797.
