Meade/Dell
My 3x gt grandmother was Sarah Dell maiden name Meade. When she married John Dell they lived in Uxbridge but I think the Meade's were from Cheshunt. There was a William Meade living in Leighton Buzzard in the mid 1800s, living with him and his family was my 18 year old 3xgt uncle John Dell. Anyone have any information about a Meade family with a Dell connection.
red mail Caroline Stocker Edwards 1857-1892
Caroline married John. Dunkley on 31.7.1877 in Cheshunt. Her father is named as John Stocker Edwards. Her mother was Mary Ann Edwards (born 1827) who married George Fish in 1869 in St. Giles, London. Caroline was born around 1857 in st Luke's, Clerkenwell. From her marriage, Caroline's history is pretty much sorted but I cannot find a birth certificate or marriage of her parents. Mary Ann was born in Plymouth but I have no surname. It's quite a mystery. Any suggestions? Thanks Jacki

red mail Edward WALKER - any help please
I am totally unsure of how to go about this. I feel ok with getting to Edward Walker born abt 1860 Marylebone. I've tried unsuccessfully ordering 3 birth certificates as I really want to know his mothers name. From his marriage certificate (he married Mary Annie Hyatt 27 March 1881) his father was also named Edward, and both Edwards occupation were listed as being carmen. 1891 England census Edward Walker senior is living with his son Edwards family. His estimated birth year is abt 1821 and his birth place is listed as being Hertfordshire, England. As an Australian county names mean very little to me and any thoughts to address this problem will be appreciated.

red mail Mrs Champion, schoolmistress
My great great grandmother Sarah Champion is listed in the 1881 census as a schoolmistress living on Windmill Street, Cheshunt. I'd be interested to hear if anyone knows what sort of school she worked in.
red mail Graham Family c. 1841
I have traced back to Frances Graham (age 50 in the 1841 Census), presumably widowed, and living in the Rowlands area of Cheshunt with her 5 children. Stephen (age 20, in my line), William (15), Charles (14), James (12), and Caroline (8). I'd like to go back earlier, so I'd like to know Frances' husband's name (assuming she was married). No parish records for Cheshunt on line?
