red mail Gardners
I'm looking for any information on my Gardner relatives who lived in Carlisle, Cumberland, England. I've found a lot of the censuses but haven't found a lot of death certificates. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Especially anything earlier than the parents I have listed. I'm planning on visiting Carlisle the week of Feb 22 to see what I can discover from the parishes, but I'd like as much information as possible beforehand. James (1809) and Jane (1813) Son 1: John Gardner (1839-1907), Married Mary Ann Rennison (1845-1933) Son 2: George Gardner (1843), Married to Hannah Sherrard (1842, Northumberland) and they had 5 sons and 2 daughters. Their son, William (1876-1962) is my direct relative and I'm also trying to find when he and the others moved to the US. Message me if you need more information. Thanks!

red mail Eleanor Armstrong 1843, George Barton 1844
I am researching my brother-in-law's tree. He is descended from George Barton born in Cockermouth in 1844. George married Eleanor (Ellen) Armstrong born in Carlisle ca 1843 daughter of a Mary Ann born in Gretna ca 1818. Their children were Thomas ca 1861, Mary Ann ca 1863 & Henry Hodgson ca 1864. I have found the family on the 1881 census but cannot find them on the 1861, 1871. I also cannot find Mary Ann Armstrong on any earlier censuses than 1881 when she is living with George & Ellen in Blackburn. Any information on George Barton & Eleanor Armstrong & their forebears gratefully received. Many thanks.
