looking for William LOGAN born1845 who married Mary RUTTER 1871 in CARDIFF. he was found drowned in Glamorgan Canal 28th September 1895.He had a brother John LOGAN and were both hauliers. Also trying to find their father maybe a George? LOGAN. He was a farmer and used to transport his livestock from ROSS-SHIRE to IRELAND. in the early 1800's.

Hello I am looking for any information on my great grandfather William Henry Ayling 1850 - 1928 He was a private in the District 2nd Battalion 17th Regiment in Aldershot. He was from South Bersted Sussex and I believe the son of James Robert Ayling and Elizabeth Hammond. He married Jessie Louisa Sercombe. My grandfather Rowland Gordon Ayling was born in Cairo and the family lived in Cardiff. Rowland had many siblings Emily, William, Henry, Charles, Edward, Jessie, May and Emily. Thank you

Julia was originally from Upton on Severn/Malvern, parents Olivia Moule 1820 - 1908 and Thomas Prosser, 1817 - 1891 Julie lived at Cathays Terrace and Llantrissant Street in Cardiff with William and their children. Tracing the descendants of Jane SKINNER and Benjamin MARTIN who married in 1865. The family moved to 20 Cumrae Street, Cardiff where Benjamin was employed as a Corporation Road Labourer. They had three children at the time, sons George and Francis and daughter Florence Emily MARTIN. Benjamin died in 1895 and Jane along with her son George are found living at 6, Devon Street, St Paul's, Cardiff in the 1901 census. Daughter Florence Emily had married a Tom TOWNSEND on the 5th June 1897 and they had a daughter Christina Dora TOWNSEND who married a Robert L FULLERTON and they had children Robert F FULLERTON and Adrienne C FULLERTON. Florence and Tom eventually divorced and Florence later married a Thomas Anthony MURPHY. I am happy to share what I have with anyone researching these families.

Interested in hearing from anyone researching: Robert Lewis an oil and colour merchant living at 296 Newport Road, Roath, Cardiff in 1904, but born in Bitton, Bristol in 1854 approx.In 1911 found on census living at 306 Newport Road (aged 57 b. 1954) as a Decorator & Merchant, with wife Elizabeth (56 b. 1955), children Bessie Adeline Lewis (29), Matthew Lewis (21) a clerk at fathers business, Robert Theodore Lewis (21) a shopman, Archibald George Lewis (16) a book keeper, Augustus Reginald Lewis (13) at school & Ethel Mary Perkins (18) their servant. Class: RG14; Piece: 32087; Schedule Number: 43. Family have close associations with Williams family in S. Wales and Bristol - of whom I'm a descendant.
