red mail Brothers Thomas and Cornelius Ryan
Might anyone have any info on brothers Thomas and Cornelius Ryan? Thomas was b. abt. 1820, ended up in Pittsburgh, Pa., USA area and in 1856 was ordained as a Catholic Priest, then served in Altoona, and Gallitzin, Pa., USA, died in 1883 and is buried in Gallitzin, Pa., USA. Also listed with Thomas in a 1870 US Census were a Mary Corle, age 26 and Thomas Boiles, age 45, both to have been born in Ireland. Unknown if any relation? Cornelius was b. abt 1826 and ended up in Indiana County, Pa., USA. Cornelius married an Elvira Shrum, had 4 children and worked for the railroad. Cornelius died in Greensburg, Pa., USA in 1898. The family story goes that they were from Tipperary and Cornelius was a stowaway on a ship coming to the USA. This story really has not been proven! Thank you,

red mail Murning
I am looking for John Murning 1842 from Ireland and married Elizabeth born 1845. They married in Ireland, where I dont know, and came to Maryport, Cumberland I think in the 1860's and then went to Millom, Cumberland. I would like where John was born and Elizabeth his wife, and when or where they got married. I have found one John born Tipperary, does anybody know? cheers Val
red mail I am looking to find information on my great-grandfather
Michael COONEY  son of James COONEY and Mary MALONE (Molone). Michael was born about Jul 1841 in Ireland. Religion: Catholic Other dates mentioned for birth of Michael Cooney born: 1836 or 1837 or 1841 Immigrated to Canada around  in which he should have been in his early 30's 1871. (was widower also mentions he was farmer). Last name has also been spelt as 'Couney'.
red mail Sheehy
My great-great-grandfather was a Michael Sheehy (born circa 1820) and married to Mary Fitzgerald (b1824). I think they married in Ireland but know that Mary died in Glasgow in 1886 and worked as a confectioner. Their son Michael Sheehy (my great grandfather b1851) was a master confectioner and first appears in Glasgow records with his marriage in 1877 to Mary Keenan (b1858). He also had a sister Bridget born 1849 who married a John Quin at Greenock in 1870. Bridget appears to have had a daughter Frances Quin in America in 1874. My grandfather Hugh Sheehy (b1892) talked of cousins in Limerick. Does anyone recognise these names?
