My family originated in the COOLQUILL area with the marriage of the above on the 3Feb1821. Issues from this marriage, Allicia b 1822, James b 1831, Mary b 1843, Patrick b 1837, Thomas b 1840 (my Great-Grandfather), John b 1843, Ellen b 1846. Thomas joined the 2nd Battalion 14th Regiment of Foot 1859 and after his marriage to Ellen MOYLAN at the Curragh Camp on the 22Jul1860 was shipped to New Zealand to fight in the Maori Wars. They remained in New Zealand after his discharge in 1869. I will be in Killenaule on the 25Sep08 as part of a tour taking in the Clann Kavanagh gathering at Leighlinbridge and would like to contact anyone who may be able to assist with any information or records dating back to the early 1800's. I head for Ireland on the 12th. Any assistance would be gratefully received. Kindest reagrds, Terry

Cornelius McCORMACK born c 1820 (possibly Killenaule, Tipperary) arrived in Queensland Australia in 1858, married Johanna GLENNON 1864 Queensland. According to shipping records his parents were Cornelius McCORMACK and Margaret (SULLIVAN?) of Killenaule, Tipperary, Ireland. His brother John? arrived in Queensland 1859. His sister-in-law, Catherine (nee O'CARROL) the widow of his brother Michael arrived in Queensland at some time with her daughters - Margaretta/Margaret, Ellen, Mary Ann and Agnes, The McCORMACK'S relatives in Queensland were members of the PERDEAUX, HEALY, O'CONNOR and GAMBLE families. I would like to contact others interested in these families to exchange information.
