red mail Newman family Kinsale
I am researching my ancestors in Kinsale . My grandfather, William John Newman, was born in Kinsale in 1897 to parents Thomas Newman and Kate Newman (nee McCarthy). Is it possible to obtain a copy of his birth certificate or paperwork other than the information on the 1901 and 1911 census forms as well as any more details about his brothers and sisters? I met his sister Jane when I was a child but the rest is very sketchy! Any information or advice would be very gratefully received' With Thanks, Michael

red mail Quinn of Kinsale
I am trying to locate information on my grandfathers side of the family. His name was Laurence Quinn b. 1890 (sometimes spelled Laurance); his father and mother were Robert Quinn (1850) and Ellen Aherne Quinn (1848?) . His brothers and sister: Stephen (or Steven), Daniel, Robert, John, & Mary Ellen. They are the Quinns who lived at Worlds End, I think house number 13. I believe, from naval records, that my great-grandfather, was Robert Quinn (b. 1850) of Fisher's St - now Lower O'connell St., Kinsale. I think his parents' names were Steven and Mary Quinn. I know that my grandfather's brothers settled all over the world, my grandfather and his brother Daniel in San Francisco, California. I'm assuming that Mary Ellen Quinn stayed in Ireland, but I'm not sure. I would love to connect with any Quinns who are descendants. Sheila
