red mail Galey parish. Ballyegan
Ballyegan in the parish of Galey was occupied by the Raymond family who originally came from Ballyloughran next door. They were related to the Gunn family of Gunsborough and Carrignafoile. The Gunn or Gun family was originally from Rattoo townland in Causeway parish. Descendents of these families lived in Riversdale House, later known as Kilmourna House, in Knockanure parish, Dromin in Listowel and Ballybunion in Killehenny.
red mail Lynch Family Kilgarvan, and Parish
Hi I am tracing my Lynch ancestors who are in the 1901 and 1911 Irish census in Meelick, Kilgarvan, County Kerry. Denis Lynch married Margaret Haley and they had several children including Thomas Lynch, who in turn married Honora Sullivan in 1882. They had Denis (born 1882), Margaret, Mary, Patrick, Thomas Michael, Johanna, Jeremiah, Honora and Catherine. Denis moved to Wales and married Annie Sophia Godwin. His siblings moved to Chicago, USA and England/Wales. I think some stayed in Ireland. Would love to hear from anybody who is tracing the same lynch people. Many thanks, Gemma
