Bella GILLEN 1911 Census
Trying to find information on Isabella (Bella) GILLEN, born in Lisnaskea, Co. Fermanagh in 1884. She is listed on the 1911 Census of Ireland as a domestic servant, aged 22 (?) working and living in a house at Clonliffe Road, South Side, Mountjoy, Dublin. Her employer was Agnes ENNIS, a widow aged 58 and head of the household. Other household members were Agnes' sons George G. (36), Joseph R. (27), James G. (24), Thomas H. (22) and daughters Agnes O. (26) and Emily H. (19). Any information on Bella after 1911 would be very much appreciated, thank you. Ann

TRACEY, Mary from Dublin Ireland transported to Pt Arthur Tasmania
Mary TRACEY was described as INFAMOUS - she was originally from Dublin The Prison Authorities in Port Arthur Tasmania described my direct ancestor Mary TRACEY as INFAMOUS - one can only imagine what she did to earn that tag. Mary TRACEY was born in Ireland - and possibly in Dublin Ireland - circa 1790 - that is a very rubbery guess. She had a child with Thomas SCOTT in Launceston Tasmania in 1814. It is rumoured that she had an earlier child - perhaps in Ireland? She was convicted in Dublin Ireland and transported to Australia in 1809. Sadly there is no record that I can find to tell me who her mother and perhaps her father (if she knew the latter) were. I am hoping that a TRACEY descendant with links to Dublin Ireland might recall a family story about a female member of the TRACEY family being transported to Australia around 1809. There were other convicts from Dublin Ireland with the surname TRACEY but so far none seem related. The said above Thomas SCOTT by the way was from Surrey England
