John Mitchell 1792-1872 and Rose Ann Lacey 1811-1872
Canadian census data says this married couple are from Cork. Their son John Henry Mitchell was born in Cork in 1826 before the family emigrated to Bathhurst Township, Lanark, Ontario, Canada. John and Rose Ann are my 3rd great-grandparents. Any information about this family is most welcome. I have lots to share about their decendents for anyone interested.

red mail Rosie O'Callaghan
Rosie was born in Cork in 1898 to Charles (a soldier) and Johanna (nee KINGSTON) O'CALLAGHAN, though her birth does not appear to have been registered. Elsewhere, she has been listed as Ellen R. Helen R. and Helena. Her sister Mary (nickname Mamie) O'CALLAGHAN was born in 1897 and her birth was registered. Both Rosie & Mamie appear together on the Cork census for 1901 & 1911. In 1916, Mary married Michael CHAMBERS, and Rosie and a Stephen MOORE were witnesses. Mary gave birth to Hannah Chambers in 1920 and Rosanna CHAMBERS in 1922. Rosie was said to have visited them. Mary died in childbirth in 1927, after which Rosie was thought to have moved to England but I can find no trace of her. Both Hannah & Rosanna moved to England in the late 40s but had no knowledge of what became of Rosie. I am Hannah's daughter and am looking for descendants of Rosie in order to learn something of my mother's ancestry. Pam
