red mail Luke & Margaret Foster nee Tyrrell
I'm at a dead end trying to find parents for this set of great x 4 grandparents. Luke & Margaret were married on the 3rd of June 1785 at St Bride's, Dublin. I have a copy of their marriage record. They had two children, Margaret, and Edward Bunbury Foster, my great x 3 grandfather, who was born in 1791. Luke owned property in Solomon's Lane and/or Bridewell Lane and was working as a watchmaker in Tullow Street in 1798 & 1802 (I have sources for these dates). There is also mention of a Joseph Foster who could have been his brother or father. Family folklore has it that Luke was an uncle to Stephen Foster, the famous American songwriter, but without knowing anything about his parents and/or siblings, this has yet to be proved. I can find no records of birth for any of these people so would appreciate any suggestions as to where I might look. I also wonder whether Luke & Margaret and their daughter Margaret are buried in Carlow. Edward Bunbury Foster firstly moved to London where he worked as a watchmaker at 33 Cockspur St in 1823. He married Ellen Taber and they had two children, Edward Jnr & Susannah and after Ellen died, both Edwards emigrated to Australia. Jenny

red mail Catherine Barclay marriage James Kenny
Searching for any information for parents of Catherine Barclay b.abt1837 Carlow & her husband James Henry? Kenny b.abt1837 James & Catherine had at least one son Joseph Vincent Kenny b.1858. Believe Catherine & James eloped and married in Dublin in Aug 1853 against Catherine's parents wishes and she was subsequently disinherited from her family who apparently were wealthy. They migrated to Melbourne Victoria Australia in 1864. Catherine & James are my g/g/ grandparents and I would be grateful for any clues as to their parents identities.

Edward Warren was the son of William Warren and Margaret Doyle. William was the son of Edward Warren a Foreman and Margaret Doyle was the daughter of Thomas Doyle a Taylor. I need to get further back into the 1700s now.
