KELSEY
Sarah Jane KELSEY b:1845 to Joseph KELSEY and Rosanna --. Emigrated to Australia on the migrant ship Monica which departed Liverpool 23 May 1857 (presumably, it also ported at Dublin), before a voyage of 86 days to Botany Bay (Sydney, NSW), arriving 18 August 1857. She reappears in the records with a marriage to Richard MATHEWS (also a migrant arriving January 1856) 4 years later in August 1861 at Raglan Creek Station, a large sheep property near Gympie, Queensland, around 1,100km north of Sydney. Seeking information on her life and times in Ireland.

red mail Edward Hennessy m. Mary Delaney
I am researching Edward Hennessy- possibly William Edward Hennessy who married Mary Delaney around mid 1850-60 in Kilkenny County. Edward and Mary may have farmed at Bridge Street North (Callan)and/or Moanmore Commons which was classed as a townland. The Hennessy name is among 25 families who are named in the Griffith Land evaluation. I would like to know any local history on Moanmore Commons - presently advertised in real estate brochures. Of particular interest is the church a Roman Catholic might attend if living either at Moanmore Commons or Bridge Street North (nearer the city of Kilkenny). I am visiting there in June and hope to find records throught the Roman Catholic Church and other sources. Edward (William Edward?) is said to have worked at Kilkenny Castle in the early 1880's for the Butler family. His daughter, Maggie (Margaret) possibly worked as a domestic for the same famly as a young girl after both parents died. she later emigrated to Australia to joine two of her three siblings in Sydney.
