red mail Mary Ellen Rawles
I am looking to find if anyone knows about Mary Ellen Rawles, born in Glasgow, Scotland, 1870. I believe she may have been raised in Ireland but the census records have been destroyed. If anyone has any information or an idea of where I can find some kind of records I would greatly appreciate that. I have her history and I know she has written a poem, but I want to know if anyone knows of an orphanage, a border home or somewhere in Belfast she could have been raised?

red mail Agnes Pennel
Agnes Pennel (1802-1882) married Robert Speirs (1802-1879) at Greenock, Scotland on 18 Jun 1832. It was a double wedding where Agnes' sister, Jane, married Captain Dunlop. Agnes and Robert lived in Belfast for some time where Robert was a merchant, possibly a spirit merchant. Their Children were born here namely; Jane Tweed Speirs 1833, Charles Pennel Speirs 1840, Robert Speirs 1842, Alexander James Speirs 1845. They departed for South Africa in 1850 and their life in South Africa and descendants are well documented. I am interested in learning more of their time in Belfast and more importantly researching the Pennel family.

McFarlane and Donaldson
I am seeking the family of Catherine McFarlane born in 1823. She moved to Muthill, Scotland and Scottish census lists state her place of birth as either Ireland or Belfast, Ireland. When she moved to Scotland is a mystery so far. She married William Donaldson in 1842 in Muthill, Perthshire and they had nine children. Any information would be most helpful. Thank you.
