red mail hospital for downe symdrome patients 1930
Harold John Eckett, born 26 April 1908, died in Bridge, Kent in July 1930 at age 22 yrs. He was born with downs syndrome and was institutionalized. Looking for name of the institution and where he may have been buried? Were bodies cremated in this era? His parents were still alive when he died. Would they have been notified and body returned to family for burial. Harold (John) was my grandfathers brother. Thanks in advance for anyone who is able to shed some light on this subject. Regards, Elizabeth Wright
