red mail TAYLOR - William
I'm looking for information on William Taylor, my great grandfather. He married Mary around 1879 in Brading and three of their children Mabel, Ernest J and William G were born there. William senior is listed as born in Dranford although I cannot find a place of that name. He later moved to Newport, Mon where he had 3 or 4 further children with Mary before her death. He then married again and had another 4 children, the youngest being my grandfather Fred Taylor. I'd like to know how William came to be in Brading and what he did there. Any information would me most appreciated.
red mail Wheelers of Brading
I am looking for more information about an ancester of mine called David Nugent Legh Wheeler born in Brading to William Wheeler, Grocer and Draper and Sarah Wells. I believe the parents were married in 1807 but David (known as Nugent) was not born until 1828. He is a mystery because his numerous siblings seem to have done well and followed good professions but Nugent not only had low paid work ( furniture porter) but also a name very different to his siblings. Any information on the family would be appreciated.
