Annie was born abt 1879 in Headington, Oxfordshire, England. In the 1881 census Francis F Favell was residing at `4, Renhold Rd Cottages, Wilden, Bedford, England` Children of Francis F Favell and Elizabeth Annie Ware: Dorothy E Favell, born abt 1920 in Bedford, Bedfordshire, England and died there abt 1967. Dorothy, married Walter Lewis Massey Cook, abt 1946 in Bedford, England. He was born abt 1912, Sunderland, Co Durham, England and died abt 1972 in Bedford, Bedfordshire. Walter`s parents were Matthew Cook and Elizabeth A Massey.

red mail Are you a descendant of the Diemer family of Bedford, UK?
Are you a descendant of the Diemer family of Bedford, UK? If so, would you like to take part in a piece of historical academic research? In December 1909, Louise Marie Robarts (Later Louise Marie Stapley after she married in 1911) took a graded music examination in Bedford. Her teacher was Ethel Grace Diemer of Bedford. The recent discovery of this exam certificate in a Bedford charity shop has inspired a piece of historical research by Dr Ross Purves of UCL Institute of Education. This is investigating music exams at the time, along with the careers of private music teachers like Miss Diemer and the motivations and experiences of exam candidates like Miss Robarts. The next phase of this research project seeks to make contact with living descendants of these individuals, with the intentions of sharing what has been discovered so far and perhaps gathering further information from family recollections. If you are a descendant of either of these individuals and would like to take part in this research or just find out more, please respond to this post and Ross will get in touch to provide further information. red mail 2nd Boys Brigade and the Howard Chapel
Can anybody please tell me if the 2nd Boys Brigade was based at the Howard Congregational Chapel or the Howard Memorial Chapel in Cardington from 1950 to 1953. My grandfather (Jim Scott) ran the group and this information might help me find out which of these he and his gran (Eva) worshipped at.
