red mail Vowles family
John Vowles b.1841was son of James, b 1801, and Elizabeth Vowles, m 1826. Other children were Virtue, 1824, Charles 1829, Thomas 1832, Joseph 1835, Benjamin 1835, Maryann 1842 and Elizabeth 1842. I think that Elizabeth was nee Cook, b 1806 but that needs checking. Question is which Volwes family did James come from? There are many strands and a read of the tythe maps some years ago showed a few land holdings in that name. Any help would be appreciated.
